Your New Concept

Starting a new business In New York City can be a very daunting task. There are so many elements to think about that many times you get started without really knowing where to start. This is how I first started, “Do I start looking for spaces, financing, talk to the SBA, talk to investors, vendors, do I have enough capital, should I start calling agents, am I missing some crucial part?” This is the scary thing especially in New York City, you don’t know what you don’t know and things such as community boards and dept. of buildings can cause a big delay if certain things aren’t taken into account early in development. No matter where you are in your endeavor we can assist in making the process as easy for you as possible. We will meet you where you are at and develop a plan of action which fits your need, concept, budget and resources. If you are in need of more resources we can provide those too including agents and brokers, lawyers, vendors, General contractors, fire technicians, electricians, plumbers, marketing teams and web developers.

Generally the initial consult will be an introduction into who you are, and what your concept is. From there we will assess the target market your concept works for and which location in the city it would work best. We will discuss your finances at your discretion to see if more capital needs to be raised, and if no further capital can be raised then we will discuss how to work within your parameters. If you have a location already in mind then we will discuss if there is anything needed to change within your concept to more suitably fit the target demographic.

The grind begins once we have the big picture of who and where you want to be. We will bring all resources together on all fronts to generate a business model we can present to landlords to find a location. We will not rush this, even though it might seem hectic. We will ensure all bases are covered in making sure you have a lease that works for you and set you up for success. This is where all parties must come together. You cannot just listen to the broker, your lawyer, or the building owner. We will have licensed plumbers and electricians, general contractors, fire inspectors and myself survey the building to make sure you know what you are getting into prior to signing. I will also ensure we are thinking about your concept and whether it can work in that exact location. And what needs to be done to make you successful. We will take into account things not always thought about at this point in the process, how is the community board and approval for your liquor license, where will deliveries be dropped, as well as a full comprehensive demographic study of foot traffic and target markets.

As you get closer to opening we can set up the best vendors to meet your exact needs, we can design menus and set up tastings for you to decide on a menu, set up your web presence and a social media platform. We can conduct hiring fairs and legally hire employees that will execute your vision. All employees will be thoroughly screened and vetted before we fill out all the necessary new hire paperwork.

Next we can set up your POS systems, delivery systems, staff management tools, Training guides, Standard operating procedures , etc.

AS we go through this process we will create a nice organized file of resources for you to refer back to and hand off any systems to make your business thrive in the future.

This is a BRIEF description of what we offer, and again anywhere in this process you are at we can jump in and help in any part or all of this you need. Please feel free to inquire for more information and a free initial consult.
