Chef Alex

Chef Alexander Lord-Flynn has opened restaurants from the West Coast to New York City and he has contracted and worked with restaurants though out the United States. Garageland, his first restaurant helmed as the opening chef in Spokane WA, was recognized by National Geographic as being the most, “hipster” bar in America.

After getting his feet wet with his first opening, where the owners and himself built the bar and kitchen with their own hands, he realized there is so much more to the business than just great food, great service, and an amazing location. It takes more than just drive to open a successful restaurant, It takes a skillset that is not inherited, but learned.

Making his way back east he started AchefA consulting, the name coming from a nickname he adopted while the sous chef for the Rockefeller’s private upstate club years prior. From there he would help open restaurants and consult with the new and old to contribute to the thriving NYC food scene.

Once COVID-19 hit he helped write to-go menus and concepts, assisted with the design for street dining in accordance with city restrictions, and created safety protocols to allow patrons to safely dine as the city came to life. He has been able to re-negotiate vendor contracts, streamline ordering systems, fight health department violations, provided sexual harassment training to establishments, write menus, create PR events, design websites tied to social media, increase web traffic, find locations for new and existing restaurants throughout the New York Region, the list goes on and on. In addition to this he is also, first and foremost, an accomplished chef.

Most recently he was the Executive Chef of the NYC icon Jules French Bistro in the East Village, and opened the acclaimed Vinyl Steakhouse in the Flatiron District while operating AchefA Consulting. Currently he is available for short and long term consulting throughout the Seattle Region. contracts for all your restaurant needs, as well as private chef appearances.
